Applications are invited for the role of Institute Manager which has two complementary components: managing the activities of The University of Manchester’s Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (IDSAI); and acting as the liaison manager between the Alan Turing Institute (the Turing) and The University of Manchester.

IDSAI acts as an access point to the University’s expertise in data science and artificial intelligence, and facilitates interactions between researchers and problem holders. You will develop and manage the activities of IDSAI and foster links between IDSAI and other digital activity in the University and with industry and external partners to strengthen data science activity.

You will be the Turing’s named University Liaison Manager for Manchester. You will engage academic staff with the breadth of the Turing’s programmes in addition to acting as a conduit between the University and staff at the Turing to facilitate smooth communication and collaboration.

You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent), with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience in delivering complex projects, and a track record of developing collaborative relationships and professional networks. As a member of the Directorate of Research and Business Engagement, you will work with the team manager to develop and maintain a collegial working environment of continuous improvement to deliver team and Digital Futures objectives.
