UoM PhD Students Use Machine Learning To Develop New Search Engine

PhD students at The University of Manchester have used Machine Learning to develop a new search engine called Etymo. Etymo is a visual search engine for data scientists to find interesting research papers. Etymo visualizes search results to reveal interesting structures within the research area, therefore showing the user patterns that would be otherwise invisible.

The developers of Etymo would like to invite more UoM researchers to try their newly developed search engine for free.

Wiejian Zhang, a member of the Etymo development team, has written a blog post on visualizing Machine Learning papers.
